Mona Koliwer, with her paintings, strives to reflect reality, to convey moods, to abstract figuras, to combine color connections and to improvise silhouettes.

Mona Koliwer simply paints her abstract pictures without having a picture in her head, thus making herself an offer, a spontaneous action from the belly. It is only when the artist returns that she can consciously shape the randomly created image or paint it over in many layers in order to achieve an abstraction.

It is in their unconscious nature to design human bodies again and again, which they then also elaborate.

Mona Koliwer's path to painting arose from the need to realize ideas, to be inspired by colors.

Their beginnings were landscapes, portraits and acts, close to nature. Later Mona Koliwer then came to abstraction.

Mona Koliwer is self-taught. In order to meet her own requirements, she took individual lessons with painters, attended workshops and studies at the College of Painting.

Mona Koliwer has been exhibiting regularly in individual and group exhibitions at home and abroad for 20 years. At the same time she works on terracotta tiles, they resemble the character of her painting and her second stand.
